Heart of local music

‘Heart of local music’ was our first two-part design and celebrates our love, and much of our town’s love of our thriving music scene (Chris regularly swaps his scalpel for his guitar and joins in). Situated above what is now a fine jewellers, it’s fascinating to think of all the people and instruments that would have entertained from this minstrels gallery set in the heart of the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells.

After the many hours spent planning, developing and drawing the Music Gallery design, we decided it would detract from the piece to incorporate any verse into the original design. It would have also detracted from the intricacy of the craftsmanship so we decided to embed our original verse into a second cut based on a music manuscript. These two papercuts therefore come as a pair and would have special resonance with music lovers, performers and those with a love of the historic Pantiles.

Signed by the artists, both one-off originals are float mounted over archival quality mountboard, and are framed in black, solid wood custom-made box frame.
