It’s time for some ch ch changes at our favourite local independent music venue, Tunbridge Wells Forum.

Specifically, the iconic venue which started life as a public convenience is long overdue an update to its own toilet facilities. To this end, local businesses Amber Creative Limited and Step 3 Construction are holding a musical fundraiser aptly named Loofest on Saturday 13th February to help towards this much loved venue getting the loos it deserves.

As keen supporters of the Forum and local original music, we decided to help by creating our own Bowie tribute in the form of this hand-cut, papercut original and auction it off as part of the Loofest evening. Based on an original photograph by huge Bowie fan and internationally successful photographer Pat Pope (no relation!), this one-0ff design is signed by both Pat as well as ourselves. The signed and  framed original will be on display in the Forum on their David Bowie tribute night on Wednesday 27th January which we’ll be at along with many other Bowie fans, including Pat.

We’re still fine tuning the auction details for the night but we will be taking sealed email bids at hello@popeandlawn.com from today onwards. We’ll keep you all regularly updated with the current highest bid and we’d encourage you to all dig deep to help our friends at the Forum. I’m sure it doesn’t need saying but to make it clear, every penny raised will go straight to the Forum – so who’ll open the bidding?
